I am the first one to admit that I believe miracles happen. But a nun being cured of Parkinsons by praying to J2P2? I'm sorry but I don't buy it one bit. Where's the miracle? I'm sure she believed she had Parkinsons - which was also what J2P2 suffered from. There's no way to diagnose it today outside of symptom observation. We've heard of hysterical pregnancy - well, this sounds an awful lot like hysterical Parkinsons.
And I don't joke about this. My dad has Parkinsons. It's a frigging awful, goddamned disease. So when everyone who's led a good life, has faith and prays for a cure for Parkinsons is actually cured - then go ahead and saint the guy. Until then, let's keep his memory for what it should be: a guy who never forgot his Polish origins, remembered the little guy and tried to spread the word. Why do people have to mythologize a life after it's over?
